I create stories from the heart about life’s most important moments and most unpredictable struggles.

I am a writer working to publish heartfelt and humorous picture books.

I am an educator with a passion for literacy and have been empowering kids using books and words for almost 25 years. My literacy initiative, The 90% Reading Goal, was presented at three statewide conventions this year. All kids should should be gifted the ability to read-and read books of their choosing!

I’m also an enthusiast. I enjoy entertaining a room with a mouthful of stories and gathering with all sorts of individuals and hearing their stories. And, then I love escaping on my mountain bike, cross-country skis, or doing yoga or Pilates.

My biggest accomplishment to date has been the creation of three humans-Benjamin, Abigail, and Magdalyn. Together with their dad, Mike, we navigate a world according to two teenagers and a sassy third child.
